The ESAW E635 is a miniature PC, compacted into a case the size of a slightly longer than a standard 5.25-inch CD drive. It manages to support up to the very powerful T7600 Core 2 Duo Processor, the newly formed DDR2 RAM sticks up to 2GB, a 2.5” SATA hard drive up to the newly formed 160GB and any slim line optical CD or DVD ROM drive. The model supplied by ESAW for review had the Core 2 Duo T5500 Processor, DVD-RW Drive, 1GB DDR2 RAM and a 80GB hard drive. The innards pull out from the case in one piece from the rear, revealing that the optical drive and hard drive are mounted on a special platter that plugs directly into the motherboard. Indeed, the only cable in this entire case is for the single fan which cools the CPU. This fan is very quiet in operation, but noticeable if you’re sitting by the machine. Read more
